The creation of 'Ciel' starts at the Nau Côclea in October 2009. Other residency periods will come later at L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà), Ramdam (Lyon) and the Rillieux-la-Pape National Choreographic Center (Lyon) all over 2010.
Few materials are needed for this piece: logs and strings. A ten meters construction will be steadying as the creation weeks come along. The body, the strings, the logs and the height. A whole which will take the form of a tower of filiform construction. A memory of a tree.
'Ciel' is a poetic building work and it therefore aims to be an outdoor piece inscribed ephemerally in the landscape.
"The time we live is so short that we have to stop and be conscious of the present. That's what artists have to do: to make people stop for a while and make them come to the here and now".
