Neus Villà and Janet Novás would like to treat this research residency as a laboratory, as a stretch of time in which to spark their energy, accept it, direct it and find a place for it before a gaze that is unfamiliar but in which they have total trust.
They have known each other since 2008 but their encounters have always been unexpected coincidences. This time they want to encourage the unexpected to take place within their meeting. To channel their desire to work on a piece together in a certain direction, they have begun a dialogue in which the how has emerged, but not the what.
There has been only one what: a dream, a shared desire, a possible motive for their work. They are passionate about the how and want it to stop being mere words. This is why they need a place to meet, research, share ideas and create. This is why they want to test out a terrain of honesty where the meeting of their two paths can turn into something more than a crossroads. It is why they plan a shared piece of physical work, full of acceptance and at ease with difference.
