(Research Residence )
L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)
From 20/08/2014 to 30/08/2014
Lucía Valeta, Vera Garat, Tamara Gómez
In this residency, the three Uruguayan creators will visit L'animal a l'esquena to continue the exploration and exchange of ideas they began during a collaboration in 2012.
The research for Rastro/Trace, involving contemporary dance, music, plastic arts and lighting, aims to delve more deeply, beyond the physical, into the idea of the "persistence of corporal states, the trace of events, their trail" and take a fresh look at the experiences of artists of the "new dance", from the group's own point of view. They will work on the articulation of physical and modelled bodies, bodies of sound and light, in search of hierarchy-free relationships and the production of contingent worlds.
This project, which will culminate in a piece of contemporary dance, will tackle themes and questions that arose in the process of creating DESDE (premiered by the same collective in May 2013 at the Festival Internacional de Danza Contemporánea del Uruguay, FIDCU).
