(Creation Residence )
L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)
From 20/03/2017 to 26/03/2017
Presentation :
On 25/03/2017 at 19:00 in L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)
Lucía Marote, Poliana Lima, Jesús Rubio
Cicatriz tells of two people who meet and fuse until they have to separate violently, causing a wound and much pain. It is about the path to transcending this injury, recovery, the formation of a scar. It is about the beauty of bodies that bear the marks of having lived.
Cicatriz speaks of love as a wound that teaches us how to be healed. A poetic act of absolute surrender, without fear or holding back. A path that leads us, through the other person, back to ourselves.
Based on a true story, an encounter, the dancers develop the potential of what has been lived. And also the potential of other experiences we might go through. They seek to reveal a possible story, the story hidden within the folds of the skin, in the form of poetry written on bodies. They are accompanied by poems by Ana Pérez Cañamares, in particular from her latest book De regreso a nosotros (Back to Ourselves).
The creation process for Cicatriz began in 2013 but was interrupted by other processes and suspended. During this residency at L’animal a l’esquena the group hope to recover what they had already made and develop and distil it, giving each element the time and attention it requires.
