L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)
From 18/09/2017 to 30/09/2017
Presentation :
On 30/09/2017 at 17:30 in L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)
Laila Padovan
“’Moving’ is not only moving place just by moving and “registering” just by registering there. It also means moving the self (just as we would speak of moving a physical object), reconfiguring its essence, joining the body it inhabits to the territory.” (ARDENNE, 2004, p.90)
Through a meeting between the experience of bodily fluids, their corporal-mental states, images of water in nature, and our imagination and poetical dreams about water, Laila Padovan will be carrying out a physical investigation, moving between the dance space and natural spaces where the internal and external, man and Earth come together in a phenomenological questioning of duality. Accustomed as we are to perceive a separation between the internal spaces of the body and the external spaces of the world, we often forget that our bodies and the Earth are inevitably intertwined. She will work on a route she has picked through natural spaces (around L’animal a l’esquena), where she will develop a dance proposal that can be enjoyed by the public at the end of the residency. The aim of this performance is to share the research she has carried out, allowing the public to enter the world of fluids and water through a tour through natural spaces, and to witness her own corporal-mental states in this contact with space and with the dance.
Like the flow of the body and water in nature, we can experience a liquid movement of our being through natural spaces, reconfiguring our qualities in each new space and seeing the natural landscape from a new perspective, more organic and more connected to our bodily and subjective states.
