(Writing Residence )
L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)
From 11/11/2019 to 23/11/2019
Alba Delgado
During my artistic residency at L’animal a l’esquena I hope to finish my book “the creative body”, a personal project based on conversations with the dance artist David Zambrano.
I have been following David Zambrano in his world for two years. Little by little. We have talked, I’ve observed his workshops and taken part in his classes.
I have researched his career right from the start up till now, his creative process. From all this analysis I have kept what I consider most relevant and what I believe may interest people from different fields: dancers, choreographers, artists, creators, teachers, entrepreneurs or researchers, among others.
I’d like people who read this book to be able to savour what it is like to know David Zambrano and that this may inspire them in their lives, whatever they do.
David Zambrano has more than 30 years’ experience. His passion for creation and education has taken him to over 60 countries, working with thousands of dancers and performing in hundreds of venues around the world. He was born in Venezuela in 1960, lived for 15 years in New York and, after touring the globe with his workshops and performances, settled in Amsterdam. He now lives in Brussels, where he opened the Centro de Arte TicTac in 2018. He is internationally renowned for his improvisation practice and his flying low and passing through techniques
