To scroll is to displace, vertically or horizontally, the contents of a web page, application, video game etc. Scrolling means rapidly changing shape, the technical solution that allows us to see all the contents of a web page or app on one physical screen, limited in size. SCROLL is a journey between reality and virtual fiction, considering human relationships within these two worlds and asking how the virtual world becomes the real one. The idea is to reflect on how human relationships have changed in the presence of IT, how progress is linked to technological advances and how these distance us from reality, from tangible, earthly history. Freud, in his book “Civilization and its Discontents”, said that thanks to the aeroplane we can travel and thanks to the telephone we can communicate over thousands of miles, but asks whether this communication is necessary. Are these invented needs? Is it a sign of progress or if these advances did not exist, would we have a more personal, present communication? What if we apply the same formula to social networks? What would happen if this intelligible world were to disappear from one day to the next? What would be left? Do we live in two worlds, with two identities? Are we really aware of our own decision?
Directors and choreographers: Marina Fullana and Laura Lliteras
Performers: Ioar Labat, Joan Ferré, Óscar Pérez and Joan Vila
