The aim of this work is to analyze the concept of anonymity or anonym life as it appears in Merleau-Ponty's philosophy in the framework of a wider question about the experience of "us"in contemporary societies. The hypothesis we start from is that Merleau-Ponty represents a decisive inflexion point in the existence philosophies with a phenomenological root because he displaces the individual look and its opening toward the "us"as a condition of this opening.
