Mal Pelo
( María Muñoz, Pep Ramis, Leo Castro, Enric Fàbregas, Jordi Galí )

ico María Muñoz and Pep Ramis propose a new project for a group of performers and creators who have taken part in various of the group's creation laboratories in recent years, such as the latest, BAND, performed at the Temporada Alta 2012 – Festival de Tardor de Catalunya Girona/Salt.

The life expectancy of a hare takes as its dramatic references the most recent pieces by Mal Pelo, Todos los Nombres/All the names and Cain & Cain. Both involved intensive work on the relation between body and text, a body that forms the structural spine of language, the backbone of the dramatic journey, using poetry and humour as tools for communication and reflection.

The life expectancy of a hare is a piece about the group, the identity of the body and its capacity to generate action and compose on stage using what is not said and not seen.

PROCESS OF CREATION

The creation process for The Life Expectancy of a Hare has been carried out in different phases. The first was in the spring of 2012, with a research laboratory at L'animal a l'esquena, Celrà, Gerona. The second, in autumn 2012, concluded with a performance at Temporada Alta of the laboratory BAND.
The third, in 2013, will see the final process of composition and the opening performance of the piece on the 10th and 11th May at CANAL – Centre d'Arts Escèniques Salt/Girona.
The piece will be performed in Barcelona at the end of January 2014 in Mercat de les Flors.
