In preparation for their performance of My neighbour sky at the Grec Festival de Barcelona 2013, Andrés Corchero and Oguri will hold the third stage of the creation process for this piece at L'animal a l'esquena. The first took place in March 2012 in Los Angeles, as part of the Flower of the Season programme directed by Oguri at the Electric Lodge. The second was the same year at L'animal a l'esquena, as part of the programme of L'animal Tardor.
My neighbour sky is a joint project by Oguri (a Japanese dancer based in Los Angeles) and Andrés Corchero. They met in Japan in 1986, where they were both members of May-Juku, the company directed by the Butoh teacher and dancer Min Tanaka. For nearly 25 years they have each continued to develop their individual creative work, while spreading the Body Weather system, created in Japan by Min Tanaka in 1978, all over the world.
