L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà)

Continuing the work begun during its research residency in 2012, the Teresa Navarrete Company return to L'animal a l'esquena with Salón Otto, planning a creation residency to complete the project ready to be performed at the Teatro Central de Sevilla in October-November 2013, with the support of the Junta de Andalucía and the Diputación de Córdoba.
This return offers new possibilities for the project, in an ideal setting, where each member of the artistic team has found more than a house, a home for performance work that nourishes and stimulates the company's creative juices. Creating this project at L'animal a l'esquena and now coming back to continue and complete it, strengthens the bond between the project and the space itself and gives it a freedom of movement, with the very best tools and facilities to carry it out.
John Berger's book Hold Everything Dear is used to devastating effect. Texts by Terersa Navarrete and Nando Pérez, extracts from the book Nocilla Experience by Agustín Fernández Mallo and notes by Franzt Fanon, Andréi Platónov and Virginia Arroyo, are included as elements of the drama, evolving into plastic and physical acts on stage and so recreating a detailed observation of small things. For this new piece the company is joined by the sound artist Montgomery, who brings new subtleties to a constantly evolving aesthetic and offers fresh perspectives on musical composition and atmosphere.
