NU2's

ico NU2's, in collaboration with L'animal a 'esquena, is holding its tenth laboratory. This year's is intended as a continuation of last year's. With the same title, Filmar la danza II (Filming Dance II), it will again focus on how to make audiovisual adaptations of choreography presented or created for performance. This time we shall be working with loscorderos.sc and experimentiing with the stereoscopic 3D format.

The organisation of this 3D filming Laboratory has been made possible with the help of Bloom, a centre for 3D and emerging technologies in Gerona.

The results of both laboratories will be performed in Barcelona at the fifth Festival IDN 2015, Image, Dance and New Media, to be held from 26th February to 1st March at the Mercat de les Flors.

NU2's is a not for profit association set up in 2005 to manage the Image, Dance and New Media/Video Dance project. This project, directed by Núria Font, began in 2003 with the aim of giving continuity, through an independent association, to the activities of the Video Dance Showcase over nearly 20 years, as well as encouraging the use of digital tools in choreography.

The main purpose of NU2's is the research, production and dissemination of work that links dance and movement with audiovisual art: video dance pieces, documentaries, exhibition installations on the subject of the body and movement, or performance projects that set up dynamic, interactive dialogues between performers, image and sound.

The main aims of NU2's are to maintain and improve support for production and research in our field, collaborate in publicising this work nationally and internationally, and create spaces for reflection and debate around the relationship between dance and new technologies.
