BRINCADEIRA was born in 2004 out of percussion jams in the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona. Over its 11 years of life it has evolved from a batucada group into a percussion ensemble that fuses physical expression with musicality, creating melodies through movement.
Thanks to this fusion, Brincadeira has been fortunate enough to take part in large scale productions with the Brodas Bros company, Salvador Niebla, Hansel Cereza, etc.
At L’animal a l’esquena they will work on a static version of their project EVOLUTION to be performed at various international festivals. They aim to improve the purpose of their movements so as to gain more expressivity in the performance of the piece.
