ico Vídeolab which was developed at the same time during the second week of the get together 'The community as an identity', coordinated by Toni Cots and the creators of video and media Leire Llano (Barcelona) and Alessandro Quaranta (Italy). Activity organized together with 'Espai de Música i Dansa de Barcelona (Generalitat de Catalunya)' (Space of Music and dancing in Barcelona) and with the collaboration 'Centre Cultural de La Mercè (Ajuntament de Girona)' (Mercè Cultural Centre). Part of the program Danza / Conflicto.

The aim of this project is to strength the space of thought about the contemporary representation of the body and the processes and relationships than can derive from it. The VídeoLab tries to broaden the look and to create spaces where the "other's meanings"can be valued through the gesture or the movement knowledge.

Initially this VídeoLab started from the following reference elements:

·How the fragmented body acquired its own language while isolating the detail and being able to communicate/express itself. With the technologic development and the use of our media, the transmission and creation of "body metaphors"can be highlighted. The use of the camera and other resources means the conscious manipulation of images where another way of reading our discourses and reflections can become visible.
·The use/manipulation of time with the aim of creating an atemporal situation where past, present and future are mixed, getting a reality and perception dilation. While recording images we are creating a space of resistance that allows us to reconstruct a memory of the own 'contemporary past'.
·The aim is to get images capable to evoke or to suggest from an own structure and form and through a non lineal/non narrative process.
