Helena Pellisé
Dancer, improviser and teacher. Studied contemporary dance in Barcelona and specialized in improvisation in Israel with an AECID scholarship (07-08). Ever since she has been profoundly committed to this discipline as a pedagogic, research and creative tool for her body and movement work. She studied further with various teachers such as Lisa Nelson, Steve Paxton, Julyen Hamilton, Scott Smith, Mal Pelo, Raravis dance company (Andrés Corchero and Rosa Muñoz) and Steve Clorfeine. She developed her methodology in her laboratory improLab, from which she formed the dance company Los 3 nombres de un gato. She organizes CIM, an Improvisation in Movement festival in collaboration with the Barceloneta Civic Centre. She performs her own creations and collaborates with artists from various disciplines in Spain, Israel, Germany and Switzerland.
