Pere Faura
(Barcelona, 1980) began his artistic career in music, studying flute and singing. Later he studied theatre at the Institut de Teatre de Barcelona, as well as ballet and contemporary dance. In 2002 he enrolled at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam, where he graduated in 2006 with the piece This is a picture of a person I don’t know, which won the ITS Festival prize and was selected for the Dansclick Holland Tour. It was performed 27 times in the Netherlands.

In 2007 he was made resident choreographer at the Frascati theatre in Amsterdam, where he has created the rest of his work, fascinated by the use of pop culture and collective memory as choreographic tools to enrich and encourage a collective theatrical experience. In 2011 he returned to Barcelona, where he continues to work.
