Dani Claret
Born in Barcelona en 1987, at 13 he became the youngest founder member of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de Cámera de Andorra (JONCA - National Youth Chamber Orchestra of Andorra). Soon afterwards, he began attending regular rehearsals of the Orquesta Sinfónica Siglo XXI (OSSXXI - 21st Century Symphony Orchestra), directed by Jordi Mora. At 18, he joined the Advanced Class at the Victoria de los Ángeles music school en Sant Cugat del Vallès, where he worked with maestros such as Bernard Greenhouse, Laurence Lesser, Radu Aldulescu and Gary Hoffman. Under Peter Thiemann, he studied advanced cello at the Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona, where he first entered the world of chamber music. Later he moved to se traslada a Augsburg, Germany, to do a Masters at the Leopold-Mozart-Zentrum with the cellist Julius Berger. At 23, he made his solo debut at the Palau de la Música Catalana. He has performed as a soloist with the Orquesta Nacional Clásica de Andorra (ONCA), the OSSXXI, the Orquesta Camera Musicae (OCM), the Bruckner Akademie Orchester (BAO) and the Cobla Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona and was cello soloist for the OCM for 6 years. He currently works for the Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona (OBC), the Orquesta del Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona and ONCA.
