Jacob comes from a vast background of dance and music. The practices goes hand in hand and influence each other in his artistical work. After studying various folkloric dance and percussion styles in Brazil, Senegal and Ghana in 2019 he moved to Berlin where he studied dance at Tanzfabrik. In 2021 he started the 4 year undergraduate program of Contemporary dance at SEAD, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance.
In Salzburg he has created various projects like the music duo JAVENTU with Vitus Denifl that released their first album in March 2024, and CHOREOSONIC, a music and dance collective. During his studies he has created several pieces, duos and recently a solo shown in SEAD. He has worked with choreographers like Olivier Dubois, Romeo Castelucci and Matteo Fargion. During the last two years he has been taking private lessons with renowned percussionist Bernhard Schimpelsberger in percussion and composition, as well as countless private lessons and workshops of dance and music in Salzburg, Wien, Berlin, Mali, Senegal, Salvador, Denmark, London, Essen…
