Set up in 2015, Tapete Común has created a dialogue based not only on the programmes of each centre, but also in relation to what it means to reclaim and defend a creative space in small towns, as opposed to the cities that accrue most of the resources for performance production and research. Year by year, we have consolidated this program of communication and reflection.
MÉTODOS PARA O INVISIBLE
“This is a process of theatrical and poetic research into vulnerability, into the relationship between movement, writing and gut feeling. More than a piece or a creation process, it is a desire to inhabit the body through what we cannot see, dancing with our faces and hands out in the open.”
Aims to be pursued at L’animal:
To inhabit the research space without any projection or pre-disposition for creation
To explore methods for transcribing poetic-corporal imagery
To recover physical aspects discarded in previous processes
To allow for grief in the studio, to give it space
To find the links between our guts, our faces and our hands, as a triad of emotion
