Us and Our TimesL'animal a l'esquena (Celrà) From 01/03/2025 to 21/04/2025 Presentation : On 24/04/2025 at 20:30 in Mercat de les Flors (Barcelona) Mal Pelo ( Mal Pelo ) After the labs in 2024 carried out in L’animal a l’esquena, Mal Pelo now begins the creation process of his new performance. With a thirty-five-year career behind them that has established them as one of the leading dance companies in our country, Pep Ramis and María Muñoz are planning a new piece with an inter-generational group. Bringing together the experience of some of the regular performers and collaborators of the company with the youth, strength and passion of new performers, will put the emphasis in this project on the transmission of language in a heterogeneous group in which age, experience and artistic gaze are multiple and varied. The project focuses on the question: What do we leave in the palm of our hand to give to new generations? WE, us, a community that defines us as individuals? A sense of belonging, where? Across time and generations, we continue to ask ourselves about our identity, our place, our future. Ours? We shall seek the answers in research into movement, dance and texts, generated by different bodies, with different ages and visions of life. Inspired by the ambivalence of the individual and community, and based on the John Berger poem Separation, we shall delve into the journey, emigration, the loss of place as a reference, concentrating on developing the basic principle of movement: walking.  |

| Lluny dels arbres L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà) From 22/04/2025 to 02/05/2025 Meritxell Colell, Angélica Castelló ( Meritxell Colell, Angélica Castelló ) Continuación del trabajo realizado en sus anteriores residencias al animal. Después de la primera residencia al 2021 al animal y las residencias posteriores, devuelven para poder continuar trabajando en el trabajo sonoro y en el guion del film. ”El cuerpo humano no es un objeto cerrado y estático sino una entidad inacabada, interconectada con los suelos, las aguas y los vientos que lo atraviesan: una criatura salvaje cuya vida depende de la multiplicidad de vidas que la rodean y las mareas cambiantes que la recorren". | Tools for Action L'animal a l'esquena (Celrà) From 16/06/2025 to 20/06/2025 Mal Pelo ( Mal Pelo, Pep Ramis, María Muñoz ) Mal Pelo offers a workshop in which to try out the mechanisms of action and what they may unleash. A look at movement and writing with the body in action. Precision, duration, commitment, intensity, silence, absence, presence, punctuation, habitability, surrender, phrasing, punctuation, linearity, temporality, musicality, rhythm, writing - these are some of the terms that we shall be questioning during this course. Activate: Carry out an action. Carry out movements and gestures to make something understood. Activate a mechanism. Mal Pelo workshops are given by the company’s two co-directors, though both may not be present at any given session. detalls  |
