Performance as part of the programme of the Festival de Tardor de Catalunya Temporada Alta 2014, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Celrà and L'animal a l'esquena.

After several encounters between Raffaella Giordano and María Muñoz at L'animal a l'esquena and L'arboretto (Mondaino, Italy) in 2012 and 2013, and after the premiere of the outcome of this process at the Théâtre de Bernardines in Marseilles, France, on 4th December 2013, L'incontro is now to be peformed in Catalonia after a tour of various Italian towns.

Maria Muñoz and Raffaella Giordano step out on stage together to bring to life a unique and intensely poetic piece. Two fiercely independent spirits, authors and creators of universes of movement, always curious about the multiple forms of artistic expression, they were also both founders of dance companies in the grand old 1980s.

The Intimacy of Insomni

A creative residency of the new show "Insomni" by the theatre of objects company Playground at Mas Espolla, L'Animal a l'Esquena. With Xavier Bobes (interpretation and direction) and Pablo Rego (sound & music)

Insomni is a show that delves into the poetic expressiveness of everyday objects, creating a visual dramatisation of the manipulation of objects in an open setting. The chosen objects are skeletal, all that remains is their outline, their silhouette. These objects become the indicative memories of those that have manipulated them. Sharing the stage with these objects is a character in a state of wakeful alertness. Together they form a landscape of the human condition, a poetic testimony to its evolution, and of our day to day journey.

JUKEBOX is a solo created by Jordi Casanovas, a performer who has collaborated with Mal Pelo since 1990. With this proposal, Casanovas initiates his own creative performance path with the artistic collaboration of Maria Muñoz and Pep Ramis.

JUKEBOX is part of a laboratory project that was initiated by Mal Pelo in 2007 with the intent to offer creation and production opportunities to the performers who have worked in the company's pieces throughout its history.

Leo Castro has collaborated with Mal Pelo since 2004, and with the support of Pep Ramis and Maria Muñoz begins Amadou, a new creative investigation. In this laboratory, with the artistic collaboration of Enric Fábregas, Castro proposes a workspace where the video camera is the point of departure to be used as a tool for exploring the construction and writing of the project. The camera is the active gaze over the situation and over the relationship between two individuals who coexist in a space through a game and a look at the "other".

Amadou is part of a laboratory project that was initiated by Mal Pelo in 2007 with the intent to offer creation and production opportunities to the performers who have worked in the company's pieces throughout its history.

A dance by improvisational artists/performers: Lisa Nelson and Steve Paxton.

Nelson and Paxton's performing partnership dates back to 1975. Paxton's approach to physical improvisation is sourced in his ongoing investigation of the technique underlying Contact Improvisation, which he initiated in 1972. Nelson calls her approach to dancing Tuning Scores which she developed through examining the relationship of the sense of vision to the performance of movement. Their collaboration is choreographic, improvisational, and theatrical. Night Stand premiered in 2004 in Montpellier, France.

Meeting and creative process of the members of the Dance Company MAL PELO Pep Ramis and Jordi Casanovas with the Italian choreographer and dancer Simone Sandroni from the company DEJA DONNE. The Festival Temporada Alta Festival (Girona/Salt) collaborated in the creation process and final performance.

Mónica Valenciano's creation process with the collaboration of the film-maker Chus Domínguez and the video artist and choreographer Olga Mesa. In this process the artits worked the interrelationship among the body writings, the poetic architecture and the image.

Creation process between María Muñoz and Lisa Nelson. The presentation of In Face of: Take 2, was the result of the new get together held for a period of two weeks by the dancers and choreographers in Marseille at Théâtre des Bernardines and at L'animal a l'esquena in Celrà.

The centre 'Studios Kabako' dedicates itself to the development of dance and the visual theatre in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo). L'étoile des lézards was presented at the Teatre de Salt in the Festival Internacional Temporada Alta 2004.

A get together carried out by dancers and choreographers for a period of 3 weeks, Lisa Nelson and María Muñoz at 'L'animal a l'esquena'. With the collaboration of Festival Internacional de Teatre Temporada Alta 2003 (High Season International Theatre Festival).

PART is a duet, created in the 70s, which reflects the artistic collaboration and language of Steve Paxton and Lisa Nelson. This performance presents a landscape that is structured from relationships and improvised dance, with texts and music by Robert Ashley.
