The Barcelona Summer Course will take place during the international Festival Grec de Barcelona, taking full advantage of its incredible programme.
This course includes classes, workshops, lectures, critical studies, performances and cultural exploration. We will concentrate on cultural exchange through workshops with local companies and artists. Together with students at the Instituto del Teatro, we shall create a small piece that will be performed at a local venue or festival. We shall deepen our cultural experience by attending performances at the Festival Grec and talks by artists. This course will connect the students’ academic journeys with experience of the real world in a vibrant foreign environment and will encourage intercultural understanding in Barcelona and neighbouring cities.
US universities involved:
Stockton University, New Jersey, USA
Shenandoah University, Virginia, USA
Georgian Court University, New Jersey, USA
(We are in talks with other universities)
